Biography: I’m a professional drummer with a deep passion for rhythm, groove, and musical connection. Over the years, I’ve built a career that spans touring internationally, working as a session and studio drummer, and stepping in as a reliable dep across a wide range of genres. Being a female drummer in this industry hasn’t always been the easiest path—but it’s one I’ve walked with pride, persistence, and a love for the craft that’s never wavered. The Early Days: Drums have been in my life for as long as I can remember. I was always drawn to rhythm—the heartbeat of every song. I started out playing in school bands, community gigs, and anywhere I could find a kit. As I got older, I immersed myself in lessons, studied with some incredible teachers, and played as much as I could. I quickly learned that technical skill was just one part of being a great drummer; listening, feeling, and adapting were just as important. Breaking In and Moving Up: When I started working professionally, I took every opportunity I could—original bands, pub gigs, theatre shows, function work—you name it. I hustled hard, built relationships, and learned the ropes of the business side of music along the way. One of my first big breaks came when I was asked to fill in for a drummer on tour. That dep gig turned into a permanent spot, and from there I was off and running—touring across the UK. Touring Life: Touring is a huge part of my career. I’ve played stages big and small—from sweaty back rooms and intimate acoustic sets to packed arenas and major festivals. I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of artists—across genres like pop, rock, indie, soul, R&B, funk, and country—as a core band member. Life on the road has taught me so much: discipline, adaptability, stamina, and how to deliver consistent performances night after night, no matter the conditions. What I love most about touring is the energy exchange between the band and the audience. There’s nothing like locking in with a group of musicians and creating a live moment that can’t be replicated. Session and Studio Work: When I’m not on the road, I spend a lot of time in studios—both commercial spaces and my own home setup. I’ve worked on everything from full-length album projects to EPs to live video shoots , and advertising campaigns. I take pride in being able to walk into a session, understand what the song needs, and lay down parts that elevate the music. Being a session drummer means more than just playing well; it’s about listening closely, communicating clearly, and bringing a musical sensitivity to every take. Whether I’m tracking with a full band or recording remote drums for a client across the world, I aim to deliver feel, tone, and precision that supports the artist’s vision. Dep Work & Versatility I’ve done a lot of dep work over the years—jumping in last-minute for rehearsals, gigs, and tours. It’s not for the faint of heart, but it’s something I genuinely enjoy. It pushes me to be sharp, fast-learning, and ready to adapt to different musical environments and personalities. I’ve depped in everything from pop tours to function bands and theatre pits. I’ve learned full setlists in under a day, turned up to gigs with zero rehearsal, and held it down under pressure. That kind of flexibility has been a huge asset in my career. I pride myself on being the kind of drummer people can trust—someone who shows up prepared, stays calm under pressure, and plays for the song. Being a Woman in the Industry: Navigating the music industry as a female drummer has had its challenges. I’ve had to deal with assumptions, second-guessing, and being underestimated—but I’ve also built a career based on consistency, integrity, and letting the playing speak for itself. I’ve worked hard to earn respect in every room I walk into, and I’m proud to be part of a growing community of women who are reshaping the landscape. I also make a point to give back when I can—through mentoring and supporting up-and-coming musicians, especially young women and gender-diverse players who may not see themselves represented. We all need allies and role models, and I want to be part of that change. Where I’m At Now: Today, I continue to work as a freelance drummer, balancing live gigs, session work, remote recordings, and touring projects. I feel lucky every day to do what I love—and I never take the work for granted. Music has taken me around the world, introduced me to incredible people, and taught me lessons I carry into every part of my life. My goal has always been simple: to serve the music, support the artists I work with, and bring energy, feel, and professionalism to every note I play.

Band M

Touring with Fay behind the kit was an absolute game-changer. From day one, she slotted into the band like she’d been with us for years — tight, responsive, and completely in tune with the feel of every track. Her ability to adapt quickly, whether it was a last-minute setlist change or adjusting to the acoustics of a new venue, was seriously impressive. What stood out most on this tour was her consistency. Every night, she brought the same high-level energy and precision — no ego, no drama, just a total pro who nailed her parts and elevated the entire performance. She locked in with the bass like clockwork and created this solid, reliable backbone that the rest of us could fully rely on. Honestly, it gave the rest of us the freedom to be more expressive on stage, knowing the rhythm was rock solid. But it wasn’t just about the playing — offstage, [Your Name] brought a calm, focused presence that made the whole tour smoother. Rehearsals were efficient and positive, and her prep was always on point. She picked up the set quickly, knew the cues inside out, and brought some great musical ideas to the table when we needed to rework sections or transitions. Touring can be intense, but having her on drums made the entire experience feel effortless. I’d play with her again in a heartbeat — and I genuinely hope I get to
