India Shania is a rising acoustic singer-songwriter from Newcastle upon Tyne whose music is defined by its emotional honesty, warm melodies, and raw, stripped-back sound. Known for her delicate yet powerful voice, India brings a deeply personal and introspective style to the acoustic music scene, creating songs that speak to the heart and linger in the mind. Growing up in the northeast of England, India found solace in music from a young age. Influenced by the storytelling of artists like Eva Cassidy, Tracy Chapman, and Joni Mitchell, she began writing songs in her teens, using her guitar and voice as tools for reflection, healing, and expression. Her lyrics, often drawn from real-life experiences, explore themes of self-discovery, resilience, love, and emotional growth. India Shania’s breakout moment came with the release of her debut single, “My Journey,” in October 2024. A raw and intimate acoustic ballad, the song is a deeply personal reflection on overcoming struggles, learning to let go, and finding peace in vulnerability. The simplicity of the arrangement—just vocals and guitar—allowed the emotion in her voice and the honesty of her words to shine through. “My Journey” quickly found a home with listeners across streaming platforms, earning praise for its authenticity and relatability. It remains her most notable and beloved track to date. Following the success of “My Journey,” India released a series of singles that continued to showcase her depth as a songwriter and her distinctive acoustic sound. Tracks like “A Lovely Man” (2024), “Voice on the Line” (2025), and “Dear Surgeon” (2025) expanded her narrative while staying true to the raw, emotive quality that defines her work. Each release has helped her grow a loyal fanbase that values substance over spectacle and intimacy over polish. India’s music is not just about performance—it’s about connection. Whether she’s playing in intimate venues across the UK or sharing acoustic clips online, she has a unique ability to make her listeners feel seen and understood. Her songs act as open letters, inviting people into her world while giving them space to reflect on their own. Outside of the studio, India is passionate about mental health awareness and often uses her platform to speak openly about her own experiences. Her willingness to be vulnerable, both in her music and in public, has earned her respect as not only an artist but as a voice for emotional truth in a world that often avoids it. As she continues to write and perform, India Shania remains committed to her roots—both musically and personally. She is not chasing trends, but instead carving her own path with authenticity and heart. With her guitar in hand and stories to tell, India is well on her way to becoming one of the most compelling acoustic voices of her generation.

India Shania was absolutely magical at The Sundial last Friday night. Her voice is something else—soft, powerful, and full of emotion. You could’ve heard a pin drop when she sang ‘My Journey.’ People stopped mid-conversation just to listen. There’s something really special about the way she connects with the crowd, like every word means something. No backing tracks, no overproduction—just her, her guitar, and the story she’s telling. The kind of performance that stays with you long after the last note. We’re already hoping she comes back soon.”

What a night! Caught India Shania’s set at The Cavern and was honestly blown away. In a venue with such iconic history, she managed to make it feel like her own. Her acoustic style fit perfectly in the room—raw, honest, and packed with emotion. Her song ‘Dear Surgeon’ had people holding their drinks in midair, just listening. You can tell she’s not trying to be anyone else—her voice, her presence, her lyrics—it’s all 100% real. She’s got that rare mix of vulnerability and strength. Definitely someone we’ll be hearing a lot more from.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients love the emotional depth and honesty in my performances. Whether I’m singing an original like “My Journey” or an acoustic cover, I aim to create a real connection. They often say my stripped-back style, heartfelt vocals, and calm presence make each set feel intimate, moving, and unforgettable.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I’ve performed at a range of venues across the UK, including The Sundial Pub in South Shields, The Cavern Pub in Liverpool, and several intimate acoustic nights in Newcastle upon Tyne. Each space has allowed me to connect with audiences through stripped-back, heartfelt performances.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I’ve been deeply influenced by artists known for their emotional honesty and storytelling—like Eva Cassidy, Tracy Chapman, and Joni Mitchell. I also draw inspiration from Adele, Ben Howard, and Billie Eilish for their raw vocals and stripped-back style. Their music taught me the power of simplicity and truth in songwriting.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

One of my most high-profile gigs was performing at The Cavern Pub in Liverpool, a venue with such rich musical history. It was incredible to connect with the audience there. I’ve also performed at several intimate acoustic festivals, where the response was overwhelming and inspiring—truly unforgettable moments for both me and the crowd.

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £100.” Unfortunately we will have to be there to provide the music just let us know what you’re after

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, absolutely! I bring my own instrument to play acoustically.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc
