J.F. Duo are made up of Jackie on vocals and Mat on guitar and backing vocals. Starting off as a purely acoustic duo, they saw an opening for a bigger sound. Recording everything themselves in the JF studio, the couple have spent many hours recording and producing their own custom backing tracks. This allows them to produce a full disco/band sound complete with lights for that party atmosphere, or something a little more subtle if required. They have racked up many years of experience between them so you know you're in safe hands.

Just wanted to say how truly happy I am with the amazing job you both did for Niki and Harry's wedding on Saturday. You entertained the guests with the perfect types of songs and Jackie's performance of the mother and daughter dance was truly sensational. Many of the guests commented on your wonderful performance. Your energy and enthusiasm was infectious and the guests were very well entertained. You are both awesome and we would highly recommend you to anyone looking for top notch entertainment.

We had this lovely duo at our wedding and we could not have been happier with our choice of musicians. They are the loveliest people who were so accommodating for any music choices we wanted. Our guests loved them and they were very good at reading the room and knowing when to change the music up. They set themselves up in the hall and were so unproblematic. Matt added comedy when interacting with our guests and Jackie’s voice was just so beautiful. I could not recommend more. Thank you both for adding such incredible entertainment for our special day and being the easiest people to work with!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We love to see our audience enjoying what we do, and will read the room during the performance to make sure we cover all bases. Our diverse song list makes us unique, playing a variety of popular songs from across the decades. We love to have everyone up and dancing!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Mat has had the amazing opportunity to perform at Wembly Arena during his long career, and as a duo we have played venues from the smallest intimate pub to the fabulously beautiful Ardencote Manor Hotel & Spa in Warwickshire.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Our roots lie in rock, but we have a diverse range of musical influences including Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Green Day, Kelly Clarkson, Alanis Morrisette and Sheryl Crow. Mat leaned his craft from studying the likes of Hank Marvin and Van Halen. We also love more up to date music and our loves include Post Malone, The Weeknd and Lady Gaga.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We value every gig we are asked to play, but weddings are always an absolute honour and we'd consider these our high profile gigs.

Do you have different line-up options?

We can call on a vast array of highly talented musicians to add specific requirements to our line-up.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes absolutely! This comes as standard in our pricing. If you'd like a playlist via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £75 per hour.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up in about 1.5 hours but this will depend on how easy it is to load our equipment into the venue, parking availability and whether the room is clear for us to set up straight away. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can you roam around while you perform?

Yes! Both Mat and Jackie have wireless equipment which makes us both fully mobile.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes absolutely! We like to tailor our sets to match the audience and give you the opportunity to chose a set from our list to suits you.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes. Full professional lighting and PA to compliment your event are all included as standard.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes. We are happy to take song suggestions in advance and if it's something we can do, we are happy to learn and perform it for your event (subject to terms).
