Hi, my name is Jed Martin / PoundShopPoet. I'm a folk/pop guitarist/vocalist. I'm always looking for places to play, so please give me a shout! I love playing classic pop songs that get the crowd going, and I love playing atmospheric folk songs when the mood is right. Think Dylan, Cash, the Dubliners, all rolled into one. "From crowd-pleasing bangers to moving ballads...a fantastic performer!" - MPB (Musicians and Promoters of Bath) I've played for years on the London folk club circuit, and made a living as a street performer in London, Bristol and Bath.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Let me know as soon as possible, this shouldn't be a problem!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, if requested in good time.

How much time do you need to set up?

If I'm using my own PA I can set up and pack down in around 5 minutes.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes, I'm very happy to play whatever songs you like if I already know them, and to learn songs in advance of the performance if you request them in good time!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes! House PA is appreciated where available, but my own trusty portable amp does the job too.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Absolutely! Let me know what kinds of music, artists, or specific songs you're into and I'll brush up on them!
