Joel Cooper is a professional trumpeter based in Suffolk, UK. He graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music, and has built up a freelance career, performing with many orchestras both nationally and internationally, including BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Opera North, to name a few. He loves to travel and, to date, has visited over 80 countries through music! He is the Managing Director of Inspired Music, (a small events music agency), and enjoys performing chamber music with the Inspired Brass Quintet, Brass Beats Collective, and Brass & Ivories, (brass and piano duo). He has given solo recitals in many cathedrals, churches, and arts centres nationwide and has performed on television / radio broadcasts for the BBC, ITV and Sky. He has had the privilege of performing for members of the Royal Family on several occasions. Based in Suffolk, Joel enjoys a varied career, working as a session musician, performing, composing/ arranging, and teaching. Joel is passionate about promoting live music and is regularly involved with education projects.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

If timings change slightly in the run up to the event, just let me know. I try my best to be flexible.

How much time do you need to set up?

For most events, I arrive at least an hour in advanced to check the acoustic and where to play from etc.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

You are welcome to request certain pieces and I will oblige if possible. Obviously the more notice I have, the more likely it will be to find / practice the piece(s) you would like.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Bespoke arrangements of songs/ pieces are possible. This service is an extra £40, for the time to write the arrangement and practice.
