Josh Landsburgh

From national youth jazz orchestras to the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, from ska bands to country groups, from Indian weddings to Scottish ceilidhs – Josh Landsburgh has done it all. Hitting the seven seas for P&O UK in 2022 before later joining ultra-luxury brand Seabourn, then joining Princess Cruises as Music Manager, Josh has been able to see the world while performing every night in theatres backing stars of the West End, Broadway, The Voice, X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent. Performing chilled jazz sets in duo and combo form before these shows and helping guests dance the night way with party sets in the club afterwards has allowed him to develop and maintain a wide repertoire as well as interact with a constantly changing audience. As Music Manager, he is the Musical Director of the onboard House Band, performing behind guest entertainers, manages the other 20+ musicians on board, and even performs solo around the pool deck and in the central piazza on turn-around days. With a Bachelors of Music with Upper Second Class Honours from the prestigious Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Josh has had the opportunity to work with and learn from the very best in the industry, receiving masterclasses from world-leading saxophonists like Dick Oatts, Mark Turner and Dave Liebman. An alumnus of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of Scotland, Josh has performed in distinguished venues like the Glasgow Royal Concert Halls and the Royal Albert Hall on woodwinds and violin, including a BBC Proms performance in 2016. Josh also maintains a full and varied career on land. Through his involvement with a range of groups, Josh has had the pleasure of performing alongside members of the Electric Light Orchestra, supporting The (English/British) Beat, and is featured on recordings with members of Queen, AC/DC, The Libertines and Simple Minds. His performances and recordings have been featured in the press, from his music and performances being played on BBC radio, to his work being discussed in The National, All About Jazz, Piping Today and LondonJazzNews.
