Rafael Silveira Trio

We are a Trio of experienced musicians, having played in many colourful venues around and outside of London, such as Alfie's Soho, Spice of Life, Beau Beau's, TAM, Vortex, Boulevard, among many others, both as a trio and in other projects. We have a reportoire of both Jazz Standards and original music, inspired by our many influences as we are an international mix, coming from both Portugal and India (with occasionally an italian singer and English trombonist). We are oftentimes accompanied by a singer that helps us bring another atmosphere to our sets, and can do so in any setting if requested, as well as an experienced trombonist to help us broaden our repertoire. We can set up a calm and precise mood or bring life to any event with an eclectic range of ballads, fast swings and medium tempos, with odd time signatures and lush arrangements thrown in if required. Inspired in the traditional Jazz piano trios, we owe our style and knowledge to the ones we draw from, such as the original Bill Evans and Oscar Peterson trios, as well as Bill Charlap's more modern trio and an even more modern Phronesis trio.
