What do your clients love most about your performances?
My clients love the genuine connection I create with an audience during my performances. Whether it’s through my soulful vocals or the raw energy I aspire to bring to the stage, I aim to make each performance feel personal and memorable. People often mention how they feel like they’re part of the experience and not just a listener.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
Since my debut on The Voice in 2019, I’ve performed at a range of venues across the UK, from intimate 200-capacity spots like Headrow House and Wharf Chambers in Leeds, to private events at Soho House and Shoreditch Park. I’ve also played larger 1,000-capacity venues such as Sheaf St in Leeds and Hootananny in London.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Stevie Wonder and Erykah Badu have had a huge influence on me, shaping my sound and musical expression. The rich tone of D’Angelo and the harmonies of Boyz II Men have really shaped my vocal style. Lately, I’ve been drawn to artists like Daniel Caesar, Leon Thomas, and Labrinth, whose unique fusion of R&B and soul resonates with me a lot.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
I had the privilege of visiting Atlanta and perform as a support act at a creative business networking event. The event featured inspiring talks from Kevin Hart and a headline performance by Rick Ross.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
I understand that event plans can change, and I’m here to help make things run smoothly, and entertain your guests. If the timings change during or before, just let me know, and I’ll adjust accordingly.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
“Absolutely! This is a popular request, and I’m happy to offer this service. If you’d like a DJ service after the final set until the venue closes, there will be an additional £200 to cover equipment hire and travel amendments, with Express PA needing to be present.”
How much time do you need to set up?
I usually set up about 1 hour before the performance time. Once the setup is complete and after a 30-minute mic check for levels, I can provide a free playlist service to help create the right atmosphere and get your guests ready for the live performance.
Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?
My set lists are crafted from countless performances, learning what works best to ensure guests are taken on a journey through dance, pop, and the soul of R&B. However, I’m always happy to discuss and ensure we tailor the set to suit your preferences and create the perfect vibe for your event.
Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?
My equipment list may vary depending on the performance, but for acoustic sets, I will bring my guitar, amplifier, and an XLR microphone (if needed). I also have access to PA sound systems and DJ decks upon request, though cost may vary.
