Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Recent feedback: "Wonderful lunchtime concert. Really enjoyed this programme and the performances and the hour just flew by." 5/5 "A lovely hour of interesting music, played in a splendid venue." 5/5 "Her technical agility, rhythmical accuracy and powerful expressive sound fit my musical thinking just right." "not only a musician but a real artist"

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I've had the pleasure of performing at many of the UK's leading venues, such as the Barbican Centre, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Cadogan Hall, King's Place and St John's Smith Square, exclusive salon venues such as 22 Mansfield Street, and leading festivals across Europe including Schleswig-Holstein (Germany), Sion (Switzerland) and Verao Classico (Portugal).

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I'm delighted to have worked with many of the foremost classical musicians, such as cellists David Geringas, Frans Helmerson, Miklos Perenyi and Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, ensembles including the Henschel and Talich Quartets, conductors Sir Mark Elder, Gabor Takacs-Nagy and Jac van Steen, and orchestras such as the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra (as soloist).

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I've enjoyed appearing on BBC Radio 3 a number of times as solo cellist, solo pianist and composer, including the performance of my composition at the BBC Proms. As soloist I've played at many wonderful and prestigious venues, but more unusual highlights include an exclusive recording at The Tower of London as Principal Cellist of Southbank Sinfonia!

Do you have different line-up options?

I perform as both solo cellist (concert and events) and solo pianist (cocktail pianist and events). I also perform in small ensembles specialising in: *Argentinian tango *Piano/cello duo *Small string ensemble (duo to quartet) Please get in touch to discuss your preferred option!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

If your timings change, I encourage you to get in touch as soon as possible to discuss options. I do my best, when I have sufficient availability, to accommodate changes of timing, to enable you to have the best event possible! Please bear in mind that additional fees may be due if extra time is requested.

How much time do you need to set up?

The majority of my events are solo performances without amplification and require minimal set-up time. (10-15 minutes is sufficient, although I arrive a minimum of 30 minutes beforehand to ensure everything runs smoothly.) Small ensembles may require longer.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

I'm happy to accommodate requests from within my existing repertoire. If you request something outside my repertoire, all longer live packages (1 hour+) include one or two custom arrangements, and extra arrangements are available as add-ons.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

As a cellist, all you need to provide is a chair! (No arm rests.) For piano performances, I would expect the venue to provide a piano: please ensure this is in tune and in good working order. I can perform on grand, upright or even electric pianos, but just ask you to let me know which, so I can tailor my set to suit. For other ensembles please get in touch.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Yes, if you request this at time of booking, or up to two weeks before the event! If you request something outside my repertoire, live packages (1 hour+) include one or two custom arrangements. Extra arrangements are available as add-ons (see price guides). I'll do my best to accommodate last minute requests, but please bear in mind extra fees may apply.
