The o2 Institute2, Birmingham 21 March 2025 By Mike Palin - Blitzed Magazine The eagerly anticipated Erasured gig – supported by The Rude Awakening had finally arrived at the O2 Institute. The Rude Awakening (TRA) – Kurt Sinclair-Hall and Bridget Gray – took to the stage in front of a virtually full house. It was noticeable that the audience responded from the off – there was none of the usual chatter going on and background noise whilst the support was playing. TRA gave the crowd a trip back to the 80s. Tracks including ‘Pop Muzik’, ‘Fade To Grey’, ‘Are ‘Friends’ Electric?’ and ‘Tesla Girls’ all had the crowd joining in. In fact, the only time they couldn’t sing along was when ‘Plastic Friend’ – The Rude Awakening’s new self-penned single was played. Yes! TRA are song writers in their own right and they tailor their gigs for their audience – sometimes you will get an all 80s covers gig, other times a mixture including their own material. It was non-stop dancing during the TRA set. I’ve seen TRA quite a few times, and I will definitely be seeing them again. And again. And again. - Mike Palin - Editorial Team

We can provide an 80s themed playlist between our sets.
