We booked The Detours for our wedding anniversary party last weekend. They were amazing from start to finish and the dance floor was full the whole night. The support leading up to the event was excellent and everyone commented how brilliant they were fantastic. Would definitely book them again.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Some of our favourite venues include the following: The Station, Cannock Shepwell's, Willenhall Lock Stock Festival

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

There are so many to choose from! Some of our favourite artists include, The Drifters, The Four Seasons, The Supremes and Martha and the Vandellas.

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes! Short on space? Get the same amazing sound with just 2 members. Using the latest technology, the duo will deliver you a great show! Have a bit more room but not enough for the full band? Book the trio version for extra impact. With live or virtual drums available, we can easily adapt to venue sound restrictions whilst keeping the vibe just right.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We appreciate timings can change prior to, as well as even on the day of the event. We always aim to be as flexible as possible and will work with you to ensure everything runs smoothly. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event, just let us know and we will always do our best to accommodate.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes. We are able to play specially curated playlists, before or after our performance, as well as during the break. If you have made your own playlist that you'd like us to use, please let us know in advance. If you would like a DJ service via our PA, prior to or after the band's performance, this can also be provided for an additional fee.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually need around 1 and a half hours to set up and perform a soundcheck to ensure all sound levels are balanced and to give our sound engineer the opportunity to make any adjustments needed to suit the venue. Once set up, we can then provide a free playlist service to set the atmosphere and ensure the audience is ready for a night of dancing!

Can you roam around while you perform?

Both our vocalist and guitarist use wireless technology, allowing them to interact with the audience and guests throughout the band's performance.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We have a range of setlist options to suit your event. We can As well as our standard mix of Motown, Soul and Northern Soul, we can provide two full Motown sets, or one Motown set and one Northern Soul set. If you have specific requests from our repertoire, we would be more than happy to discuss them.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, all of our PA and lighting systems are included in the quote. We ideally require a minimum of 3m x 4m to perform.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes. Whilst our repertoire is vast, there may be a special song you'd like us to learn for your event. There is a small additional fee for this service to take into account rehearsal to deliver you a flawless performance. Please note, we require 8 weeks notice for this service.
